Fake DUI Checkpoint

Fake DUI Checkpoint, Police say a man who set up a tanked driving checkpoint complete with street flares while putting on a show to be a Pennsylvania state trooper was inebriated.

Troopers say 19-year-old Logan Shaulis, of Somerset, stopped his vehicle askew crosswise over state Route 601 and set up street flares at around 4 a.m. Saturday.

A driver who ceased says Shaulis asserted he was a trooper and requested to see a driver's permit, enrollment and protection papers.

At the point when genuine troopers arrived, police say Shaulis attempted to hand a BB gun to the auto's traveler and said, "I can't get got with this."

He confronts charges including intoxicated driving, imitating an open worker and unlawful limitation. He stayed imprisoned Tuesday. Online court records don't list a lawyer for him.

A preparatory hearing is situated for June 9.
