New York herd buffalo, Police are attempting to pull together alittle herd of buffalo that free from a farm and crossed a busy stretch of the big apple State pike.

About fifteen of the animals got loose Thursday from a farm within the Rensselaer (rehn-suh-LEER') shire town of Schodack (SKOH'-dak), on the river's east bank a couple of miles southeast of Albany. The owner believes they swam across the stream to the city of Bethlehem, wherever they wandered Fri morning between interstate eighty seven and also the river's geographical region.

The herd crossed an area road at regarding 11:15 a.m. and ambled onto the pike during a spot ten miles south of Albany. Drivers slowed to avoid the buffalo.

The animals safely crossed the northward lanes then trotted south on the shoulder into some woods.
