Jessa Duggar Ben Seewald, There's a baby on the way for Jessa Duggar Seewald! The reality-TV star and her husband, Ben Seewald -- who tied the knot late last year -- announced Tuesday they're expecting their first child together.
"We are so excited," the expectant mom told People magazine while revealing the first photo of her burgeoning baby bump. "The due date is November first, our wedding anniversary."
"We are looking forward to being parents," chimed in Ben. "We are trying to take it one day at a time. […] We pray every night that God helps us be good parents. We are getting advice from other parents."
Fortunately, the Seewalds have a fountain of parenting information close to home: Jessa's older sister, Jill Duggar Dillard, is a student midwife -- and she welcomed her first child, son Israel David, on April 6, 2015. "[Jill] has all the knowledge and training," says Jessa.
"I am not comparing, not worrying about what could happen, we are just getting prepared," adds the expectant mom. "I think having this first year together to share our lives, just the two of us, has been special. We are definitely excited to be parents."
But in spite of their baby bliss, pregnancy has been no cakewalk for the "19 Kids and Counting" star, who revealed her struggle with morning sickness to the magazine.
"I am feeling pretty good," says Jessa, who's reportedly entering her second trimester. "The morning sickness was different every day. It's getting better, but I'm still hanging on to the heartburn. And I don't have any super serious food cravings."
The 22-year-old also dished on how she broke her baby news to her husband after taking a pregnancy test before church one morning: "I said, 'Hey Ben, guess what? Yeah, you're a dad.' We couldn't believe it," she told People. "We are so excited. We have started talking baby names. It is one of those things that is so special, picking a name for a baby."
The newlyweds still plan to add to their family via adoption: "Our hearts haven't changed on adoption," says Jessa. "We are still making plans."
